Please tell me a better way!  How can I use the debugger in a more useful manner?

If you want your module to compile to a single assembly you can try this:

Using Web Application Projects (WAP)

Debugging should be straight forward.

I've gone thru your tutorials, plus the DNN module developer's guide, but I've still got a problem.

I'm sure that there's a trick to this that I don't know...

Each Module Definition gets compiled into its own DLL.  That's cool.  The only way I know how to do that is to create a project for each Module Definition.

So, I want to compile the module and want to debug it during testing.

I change the code in my module project and build it.

I have another copy of Visual Studio open with the full DNN instance loaded and start it up in debug mode.

(This sucks up extra RAM I would rather use for other purposes!)

This seems very awkward, to say the least.

Please tell me a better way!  How can I use the debugger in a more useful manner?

Thanks!

Easy... try my development approach. View the link in my sig.

In my experience (and of the users of it), it's a much more productive way, and definetly "sucks" less RAM :)
