I am new to DNN and I would like to have a different image as a header on each page of my site.

Is there a skin that has a pane above the menu bar.

Thanks for your assistance

The default skins have a top pane that you could copy the code and then modify the css to position it and set width-height attributes.  I would read through the skinning documentation.  This explains how to create panes in DNN.  It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it and the document does a good job of explaining the process. You could then go back to the example skins and do what you want.

Other than the usual helpdesk33 method, If I have a more complex background merging into an image, I find it easier to copy your skin.html/skin.ascx into skin1...., 2kin2... and so on, and add the complex banner variations in each of the skins and upload the new skin pack. Apply the appropriate skintype for each section of your site.
