 successful upgrade to dnn441 at wh4l - manual full install with a copy of /portals and database from my dnn440

site response is noticeably quicker

Hi, I don't have a good answer for you because I haven't been able to upgrade to 4.4.1 yet on my WH4L account.  Can you tell me what you used for instructions?

webhost4life dnn440 -=> dnn441 walkthrough
==========================================
• backup existing dnn440 database (MSSQL Admin)
• restore dnn440 database backup to a newly named/created dnn441 database (MSSQL Admin)

• create /dnn441 folder (File Manager)
• confirm .net v2.0.50727 setting (.NET Application)
• ftp dotnetnuke_4.4.1_install.zip to root
• unzip dotnetnuke_4.4.1_install.zip to /dnn441 folder (File Manager)

• assign 'full permissions' to 'network service' (File Permission)

• delete /dnn441/portals (File Manager)
• copy existing /dnn440/portals to /dnn441 (File Manager)

• delete /dnn441/app_code (File Manager)
• copy existing /dnn440/app_code to /dnn441 (File Manager)

• update /dnn441/web.config to point to newly created dnn441 database (restored dnn440 db)
• verify validationKey and decryptionKey

• change path from /dnn440 folder to /dnn441 folder (Change Path)

• can safely change path back to dnn440, if necessary

• browse to website …
