Hello everybody,

I am very new to DNN. It is first time I am going install and use it. I want to install a package where I can modify the existing modules and develop my own modules. Should I install the DotNetNuke_4.4.1_Install.zip OR DotNetNuke_4.4.1_Source.zip  on my Windows Server 2003?

If you are looking to modify the code DNN functionality you will want to use the source version.  If you are looking only for module development you can use the install version!

Use the Install version to develop Modules with.
Look at these sites for information on development:
http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN4_SurveyModule/
http://www.dnnwiki.com

Look at the Projects pages on DNN web site and download the source of existing modules to see how they are built.

Thanx alot for ur reply . But when I unzip the DotNetNuke_4.4.1 then it contains 2 folders under it. One is Website and the other is Library. Should I just take the Website folder and put it on my server and install it same way as DotNetNuke_4.4.1_Install packge?
