Can anyone help point me in the right directions?  We've been using DNN for a few websites, and have noticed the only real area it lacks is the Registration Process.  By this, I mean it seems to be awfully confusing to a non-dnn user.  One of my clients is using this for a Subscription service for Personal Training information.  MOST of his users can't figure out how to register for the various subscriptions!!!

Every time I try, it works fine.  But I believe it's the process.  Does anyone know of a module, or have I missed the boat on the core, where the user registering can choose the various role subscriptions DURING the registration process, without all of the other steps involved?  (Let me also state, we have a nice set of directions, but it's still too much to go through).

I think this would GREATLY improve usability for many DNN sites..... dumb it down so even my mother can use it!!

Our User Attributes module may be a perfect match for you. Check it out at www.ucanuse.com.

Brian,

Thanks for the reply.  I did look into your solution, but doesn't process payments for the registration.  This is a key factor.

I have a couple projects coming down that I would love to use DNN for, but the difficutly in the Registration process for various Roles is the BIGGEST downside.  It needs to be USER friendly.  Users want to give their information, pay (if need be) and have access.

Anyone know of a module like ucanuse user attributes or datasprings dynamic registration (both come SOOO close to being perfect!) that has payment processing?  Or any (simple) ideas on how to (easily) implement this?

Many many thanks!

Hi. I think with using either of our modules you can probably implement this with a module such as 'Subscription Tools' by Ventrian Systems. Basically right after the registration process just have the user navigated the subscription tools module for processing. We have been working with clients using this same implementation and so we have decided not to implement it into our core product. If you are not looking for subscription tools but just payments and so forth we do outline some documentation on our site for integration with Paypal using our Tailored Text/HTML module after registration.

Hope this helps.
