I am looking into either modifying or creating a new membership provider

Any pointers to material and/or samples on how to do this

Essentially i would like to hook into login as well as registration to use additional data contained in an existing table to determine whether a user can register and then also determine the users rights/roles as well as things such as expiration

Any help is appreciated

Mike

You could implement an add-on for User Attributes to check data in your existing SQL table. UA can handle all of the registration aspects with DNN. This would save you time and you wouldn’t have to modify the DNN core. You can contact us through our website (www.ucanuse.com)
