Did you get this to work correctly. I have the same setup and after hours of wrestling with the SQL connection crap, i just used SQL express. I would like to utilize the SQL 2005 though.

Also, did you get around the web.config inheritance problem? I takes over all the other virtual directories and stops some of the SBS processes from working correctly. (ie monitoring)

Did you update the database connection string in the web.config before running the install script? DNN populates the database with tables during installation so you can't switch providers after the install. You can create your database and test your connection string with free SQL tools like MS SQL Server Management Studio Express or SQL 2005 Manager Lite for SQL Server. You will get better performance from SQL Server then from Express.
