Hi guys,

I am having a problem using the "Send Exceptions" function in the Log Viewer.

The problem relates to the serialization of the objLogDetailInfo object; objLogInfo keeps an array of these name/value pairs as log properties.

I know there was once an issue with medium trust, but I have eliminated this as a possibility.

Could anyone who is currently running 4.4.1 confirm that they are able to actually send out emails using this feature?  I know there are a few other issues with logging (eg; http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=5024) so I'm curious to know if this is another developer oversight, or an actual bug.

No one uses this feature?  Really?

Brandon ~

Actually, I use this feature and I can confirm that there is an issue in it...do me a favor and locate the gemini ticket number for it (http://support.dotnetnuke.com), post it here for me and I'll see to it this gets elevated.

Cheers

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the response.  I tracked down the source of the error (in the serialization of logProperties) and was a bit surprised that it slipped past QA.  Wanted to make sure it wasn't just a configuration problem on my end before I logged it in Gemini.  I think I've logged about 100000 problems related to exception logging, so I'm sure they're getting sick of me.

Thanks again!

B

Hi Scott,

I've logged this support request at DNNP-5113.  Alex is usually really on top of these and elevates them right away, but thought I'd mention it to you nonetheless.  Thanks!

Brandon
