I'm hoping someone will be able to assist me with a problem I'm experiencing in the Newsletter functionality in DNN 3.3.7.  I need to able to send images in the newsletter, which it allows me to upload and add.  The problem is that when the email is delivered it contains a bad image link.  When I view the source of the email, it contains the following source information:

<Base Href='www.domainname.com><P><IMG style="WIDTH: 260px; HEIGHT: 156px" height=400 alt=imagename.jpg src="/Portals/8/imagename.jpg" width=600 border=0>

How do I change the newsletter configuration from being a relative address to the full path?  I have seen some postings that you can customize the Friendly URLs but I'm not sure about how to do this.

Thanks in advance

I found a thread on a different site related to this topic.  It's seems to be helpful, but does not solve my problem entirely.  For those of you that this will help, please try this link?

http://www.dnncreative.com/Forum/tabid/88/forumid/4/postid/2835/view/topic/Default.aspx

This explains how to correct the settings uses the FCKeditor.  Unfortunately, my DNN site is not using this editor in the newsletters.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

In troubleshooting this issue, it stems from upgrading DotNetNuke from 3.1.1 to 3.3.7.  For some reason the older files are overriding the new version from 3.3.7.  Any suggestions on how to correct the problem?

Ok we have figured out a workaround for anyone that this may help. In order to specify the full path of images for the Newsletter, we had to add the FckHtmlEditor configurations to the web.config.  The FckHtmlEditor was installed, just not specified in the web.config.  The red text is what we actually added.

<htmlEditor defaultProvider="FckHtmlEditorProvider">
   <providers>
    <clear />
    <!--
         FTB options:
         ============
         toolbarStyle="Office2003|OfficeXP|Office2000|OfficeMac"  Sets the default FTB Toolbar style
         enableProFeatures="[true|false]"                         Pro features require a license from FreeTextBox
                                                                  or you may test them with localhost only
         spellCheck="[{none}|IeSpellCheck|NetSpell]"              IeSpellCheck is free for non-commercial use only
                                                                  NetSpell requires some integration work
    -->
    <add name="Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider"
     type="DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider, DotNetNuke.Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider"
     providerPath="~\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider\"
