I want to check if a particular user is logged in to the system or has clicked logged of. I tried UserOnline table but its not helping. Can anyone spread light on this issue?

Could anyone shed some light on this issue? I'm wondering the same thing, I would like to be able to display an image on my friendslist that shows if the user is online or offline.

users online table lists all users, which have displayed a DNN page within the past couple of minutes.

Due to HTTP being a connection less protocol, there is no option for precise listing of current users w/o pinging them steadily.

I believe what you are trying to achieve can be done with this snippet:

txtUserName.Enabled = False
            If UserInfo.Membership.IsOnLine Then
                ' display username
                txtUserName.Text = UserInfo.Username
            Else
                'display static message
                txtUserName.Text = "Please log in..."
            End If

I only used a text box because it was already in the module I was working on, so modify to fit your needs.
