I installed DNN on my C:\DotNetNuke and the virtual directory is DotNetNuke. I have been trying to create a new Portal but I'm not sure about certain settings.  I have the following questions for the install that I have described:

  • Do I first need to create another directory to contain the DNN files like C:\AnotherSite?
  • In the Create Portal form page what would I put into the Home Directory field?
  • how do I know that the Portal creation was successful?

Thank you.

Hi Phil,

1. No

2. If you choose Child Portal your directory will show up and all you have to do is to choose a name for your new portal ex. Mainportal/NewPortal

3.The new portal will display upun a successful creation

Cheers

Leif
