Hi, I accidentally set the login page to the home page which doesn't have a login module. After that I logged out. So clicking the login link now doesn't bring me to the login page anymore. How can I best revert the situation? TIA

PD: this should be validated by the site logic - I think the list of settable pages for the login page should at least have a login module!

Remove the word default.aspx from the URL and paste this at the end.

/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

Press enter and you should have the login screen.

While your suggestion may help new users, it would prevent someone from replacing the standard login control with something more advanced.

Thanx phr0ze, you're of course right but I'd add some custom module validation to solve that problem.

Anyways, I tried replacing default.aspx in this URL:

http://languages.pietsieg.com/Portal/tabid/86/Default.aspx

to

http://languages.pietsieg.com/Portal/tabid/86/ctl/Login/Default.aspx

but that didn't work (it returns to the home page, so no luck here). The thing is that I've set the login page to the home page when I was in admin/host mode, and then I logged out and found out what I had done.

I guess I'll need to dive into SQL to revert the situation...

Thanx John, from the contents of the page you posted I knew which field to set to NULL (LoginTabId in Portals), and have placed a login module on the home page to make sure that this won't happen again.
