I've just installed the new forum and gallery on 4.01. I installed the forum first and that went fine over an existing forum. The gallery is installed new, not over an existing one. When I place the module on a blank page I get the error:

A critical error has occurred.
Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.default_aspx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery.Container'.

I note that there is a thread further down about the same error with older versions of the module. I decided to place this in a new thread to be clear that it is obviously a persistent bug or something.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated... as is the new release.. I just hope we can get this running.

I've just gone ahead and installed the new build on a DNN3.11 site that has also not had any previous gallery on it.

On this site I get a different critical error:

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The module does display and I have been ab le to add some images to it. The above error appears whenever I go to chenge the configuration; which can't be done.

I'm really only concerned about getting it running on DNN4.01 but I thought I'd test it in my other site and report back as well.

Any advice is appreciated,

I can confirm that this is an issue with both new and old (upgraded) installations of the module.
