Hello

I have been checking around the dnn modules but misses one important function. I take the announcement module as an example (the same goes for udt). I wanna have a list of short announcement and then be able to link to a full single announcement from that list. It should work as an ordinary newslist. I use this type listing a lot, and i heard it will be available in the next release of udt. What is the common solution for this problem in dnn?

Regards
christopher

Create your own module according to your needs ;-)

hehe .. yes of course. But right now my shedule dosent allow it. But what i mean, this functionality is quite common when building a website, so i thought there would be some way to do it on a default dnn installation?

content is presented by modules, not by the framework itself, therefore it is up to the modules, how to present content. There are a number of master/detail modules, especially from 3rd party vendors, like Articles from Efficion Consulting, MLAdvAnnouncements by Apollo Software etc., and my company is also developing a generic module, that allows easy creation of custom master/detail views and forms.

  MLAdvAnnouncements is not master/detail

Christopher, also have a look at modules from Ventrian (www.ventrian.com). Their News Articles module has a lot of features...

(also, technically, the core blog module is a master/detail module by your definition)
