How to compile Events dlls

I have made some changes to the Events module and would like to recompile the Events.dll and Events.SQLDataProvider.dll but am having trouble doing this. I have read Michael Washington's article about publishing a website but wanted just the two original dlls. Is this possible? Others have had the same question but I never really saw a clear answer. I would appreciate any help. I am using DNN 4.

As long as events is a DNN 3 module, you need either DotNetNuke3, VS2003 and ASP.Net 1.1 or need to migrate the module to DNN4 yourself.

Yes, I did migrate it to DNN4 and it is working with the .vb files in the App_Code directory but I wanted to put those files in a dll. I tried compiling those files into a dll by creating a class project in visual studio,but it gives me an error when trying to load the calendar using the dlls. I don't know if this is possible to do with DNN4 or if I am going about it in the wrong way.

Did you migrate the events module to vs2005? If yes, then it should still have the references to the correct ascx and ascx.vb files in the project file itself (*.vbproj)...
If that's the case you should be able to compile the events module into a dll like you were able to in vs 2003 - UNLESS you changed the ascx files to use codefile instead of codebehind...

Does this make sense?
