Hi

This is what I'm aiming to achieve for an organisation.

On the internet:
* DNN multiportal website selling multiple publications (SQL Server/ASP.NET)

On the company LAN:
* Windows 2003 domain running Microsoft dynamics CRM on SQL Server.

Now to my question...

At some stage I would like both systems to intrigrate so that:

* Customer details sync up between the DNN and Microsoft Dynamics databases.

* The data entry person just enters the details in once from the from the dynamics CRM (sign up and assigned a particular product). Then a DNN website account should be created automatically (if it does not already exist) and appropraite user permissions set.

So I guess we are talking about secure XML web services here?

Has anybody manage to achieve this?
Anybody heard of anybody who has developed such a solution?

Cheers!

Alex

Microsoft Dynamics is a fantastic product.  We used it for almost a year, but constantly had problems trying to create a seamless integration with DotNetNuke.  You do have to create web services.  The authentication process with Microsoft Dynamics is very slow which makes the initial hit seem forever.  Not to mention you have to be very careful with their license restrictions and how integrate your website with Microsoft Dynamics.  We ended up creating our on product, which will be released this week.

Hi Will

And of course you will be getting the product to intigrate with the store module no doubt :)

I look forward to reviewing it. Any other competitors out there?

The CRM you are displaying looks interesting as well..... hmmm we haven't bought dynamics yet.

Cheers

Hi Will

I had (probably) the wrong idea you had a solution that linked DNN with Dynamics. You are saying you gave up on dynamics in favour of your own DRM? Or did you have a solution for this in the end.

Cheers

I would like to followup of you were able to find solution to tie up CRM and DNN?

I appreciate hearing updates from you soon as our company is having hard time figuring out how to link Dynamics CRM and DoNetNuke registration and authentication.
