Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this, since this area is focused on the actual module...But I figured some one in here might now.

When do users actually get added to the UsersOnline table?  I am running multiple portals and some times the users goes in right away and displays right away on the "Online Users" module.  Then other times it is delayed and it is not that there is "cache" on the "Online Users" module, since I have access to the db and I look at the UsersOnline table and the user has not been added to the table yet.

So I am not exactly sure when, if on a timed basis, the user gets added to the "UsersOnline" table.

Oh ok...I new about the "PurgeUsersOnline" scheduled project.  Didn't know about the add also.

They are on a 30 sec interval...So maybe when I logged in some times I logged in right before the task was supposed to run and that is why I went in right away.

I updated the "logoff.aspx" page to manually remove the user from the "UsersOnline" table when the user chooses to logout.  If they just close the browser the scheduled task is still running so they will be removed that way also.

So I will just do the same on login then, I guess...Add the user to the table.  My boss hates that there is a delay.

The only way I can get users added to my Usersonline table is to go to the edit page of the scheduled task and click "Update".

The scheduled task runs every minute and clears users out of the table as they log off, but never adds them: I must manually edit the task to do so.

Does anyone know what causes this?
