Via a Healthy dose of stupidity, I managed to delete a large number of the installed files on one on my DNN sites. (Fortunately it was a play site).

Rightly or wrongly, I decided tha teh best thing to do was to Blat the site completely, and re-install. However, I didnt delete the old database, assuming that the intall would still be happy.

(It isn't :-/)

If I go to root/default.aspx, rather tnah seeing the default page, I get an error message

" [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION]
Format of initilaisation string does not match the specification"

If I go to root/install/install.aspx, then I get an error complaining about the Web.config (this is the same web.config that was on the old site)

So what should I have done, and whats the least painful way of getting the site back (even if it is without content)

Cheers

Sb
