Glad it worked for you.

Yeah I have no idea why the defaults didn't work, but you are not the only one that I have heard of having this issue.

Please note, our Admin was editing accounts and appears to have renamed our Host account, to what, I have no idea.  I tried to use the script on your Blog, but I have no idea where to find out what my ApplicationName is and it appears i cannot find which was the Host account?

The application name is set in the web.config, typically if you didn't change it is is dotnetnuke. 

You can wasily find the host account by looking in the users table and searching for users with a IsSuperUser value of 1

I tried everything in this post with scripts and checking my web.config file and without prevail I still cannot login to my site. I upgraded from dnn 4.3.4 to 4.4.1 and I could no longer log in and still cannot login can any one help

Nevermind, I figured it out I checked my machine key codes and they were not copied from the original web.config file. It always good to make a back up copy of the config file before updating.
