Hi folks,

I'm using DNN now for nearly a year, but now I've come to a point where I need your help.

The strange thing is: SOME users can login, other's can't. And sadly, my own account and the host account belongs to these. I run 4 portals on the same instance and cannot login with my account on all these. And I found somthing strange in the database: The record for the failing accounts are lost in the aspnet_membership and aspnet_users tables, but are present in the dbo.users table.

This whole mess started immediatly after deleting a portal ...

Please give me a hint to get the things up and running again!

You could look at manually recreating the records and accounts in the user table if you needed to.  If you know the password for an existing account you could then set the password via code using an example I have posted on my blog (link in signature).

I'm assuming that recover a forgotten password isn't working due to the missing records.
