My question is somewhat along the same lines.  I have a module (from DataSprings) that is to take place of the registration process.

Your best bet is likely to follow up with the vendor whose product you purchased.

But this is DNN functionality, not the Modules --> Admin - Site Settings - Advanced Settings - User Page.

I don't want a new User Page, only a new Registration Page.

For example, if the Login token could have something to overrwrite the "register" url in the Skin.xml file, problem solved.... but that attribute doesn't exist.

From your post I understood that you have replaced core registration functionality with a custom module.  Doing so makes the user profile also use this new module, and you are trying to avoid that.

Have you tried to modify the core profile/registration yourself?  It is pretty easy to add and remove fields, use validation, etc...  You don't have much control over the look of the page though unfortunately.  Maybe it is the middle ground you need.

I should also state I'm using dnn 4.4.0 and have thought of setting registration off to not show the registration button.  But because during the registration process, I need to have the user Logged in when going to the next page (for payment purposes), that I must have it set to public.

Unless someone knows a way I could still keep the user logged in (not just approved).

Thanks in advnace

After registration a user is logged in.  In the Admin - User Accounts - User Settings you are able to specify an URL to direct users to after registration.  Would this help your situation?

Thanks for the replies by the way!

The only reason I needed this module was to enable the users to select the role they were registering for on the first page.  The current registration process is much too confusing for most people - especially for Paid subscriptions.  - Register - click your name - click services - select subscription, etc etc.

With the module I ask the basics (username F-L name, email, passwords, dispaly name) And have a dropdown for the Different Options (Free, Bronze - $5, Silver $20, etc, etc), click register and go to a page that links them to PayPal to Pay.  Much easier.

Just had an idea - with regards to your last post about redirecting users after registration - Would be great if we could redirect the user to the Manage Services aspect of their user profile.  - Even better if you could also do this AFTER the "Verification" aspect of registration, so the first successful login AFTER registration they could go directly there and select a subscription!  That would remove a LOT of the guesswork out of the user's registration process.
