Hi,

I'm getting 'Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)' on portals that I've created at the 'Parent' level; the administrative pages and the default first portal all work but when I create a second portal and attempt to browse I get a an error in the browser.  The DotNetNuke framework is installed at the root of a virtual server that I created for this application on a Windows 2003 server.

I have also seen this with a number of asp.net apps (not just DNN).  From my understanding this is caused my IIS receiving bad header info from the browser. Strange thing is that FireFox does not have this issue which makes me think it is a IE issue.

Thanks for your interest in this issue.  While I haven't tested the problem against FireFox I don't think I'll have much luck getting everybody on the internet to switch over browsers just to view my site.  I think we'll have to look at the DotNetNuke application as the source of the issue and see why it's not filtering the host header correctly.  Any thoughts in that direction will be greatly appreciated.
