XFlex is quite pricy for something you can actually survive without....  60US or something...

Hi Julia

Re XFlex pricing.  In terms of some other DNN modules you are quite right - it does seem expensive but I easily used that much time trying to get the speerio control working. No disrespect intended as it works very well here.
Xflex is easy to use. Install, configuer and move on.

Re Can do without it. Yes and No. There is enforcable law covering accessiblity factors in the EEC and, for many organistions it makes sense to include these types of controls as standard.  I am on my 3rd copy of Xflex.

A broader point is that many modules are (IMO) too cheap.  I actually worry a little about the longevity of the DNN 3rd party development "cottage industry" as I cannot see how code can be so cheap compared to similar non DNN asp.net controls and systems.
In the context of code outside DNN Xflex is still quite cheap.
Regards
Ian

In a way they do. By telling others of good experiences with a module or object I support an ethical industry that makes me money.
One of my big problems selling dnn to clients is the low cost of code. They think as its so cheap its no good!
I do accept that not all sites are commercial and Speerio works well here.  Try it out.

it's a offtop but .. I think you can't judje good or bad just by low cost of it, it looks great it works easy so why not use DNN? If I were a developer I wouldn't even tell to my clients what I use, it'll be  a business secret

but it's good that DNN works not only for those with enough cash to spend around...
