Hi, I am trying to change, or even just remove, the DNN icon that appears in the address bar and the window tab in the browser. I have tried replacing the faveicon.ico file in my root, and there is none in my portal root. No luck.
Also, how do you create an .ico file? Photoshop does not seem to recognize it, and I tried changing the file extension of a gif and a jpg, but that didn't seem to work.
Thanks!

Try this link for a website that lets you upload images to be converted to .ico files
http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/
I'm no expert on favicons but maybe if you put a .ico file in the portal folder on the web server file system it will be used instead of the default dnn icon. I just copy and paste my favicon into a number of different locations including
  • the root dnn folder
  • _default folder in the portals folder
  • and each individual portals folder

I have done all of the above, and it tests okay on the Validator Page of the website for the ico file, but I still have the dnn icon in my browser. I have cleared my temp internet files, and added the site as a favorite. What do you guys see at http://www.bringjackieback.com ?
