Hi, I've installed DNN 4.4.1 and reproduced (2 times now) an error when applying the 3rd DNN-Blue skin (first two skins work) - the page shows only this:

Q: how can I recover from this bug? TIA

An error has occurred.

As John stated, this error related to Vertical menu and missing dll is binary folder.

Just an idea. Why not DotNetNuke Core Team update Install package with fix of this error?

Thanx John - it was just that simple. So some dll was left out of the 4.4.x builds, according to one comment (by Steve McLenithan) on the Nina blog: it suggests a better fix:

"Sorry to spam, but I found the fix. The DLL that was left out of DNN 4.x build is:
DotNetNuke.DNNTreeNavigationProvider.dll
If you replaced the vertical skins with copies of the horizontal one, you will need to get the originals from the zip file. You can get DotNetNuke.DNNTreeNavigationProvider.dll from DNN 3.3.7 Install's bin directory. Of course this is a hack and I have no way of knowing if this dll has changed with the 4.x release so do this at your own risk. Worked for me though :)"
Lucky for me that I backed up first my original skin files before replacing them. You can find the dll in the 4.3.x builds also, in the bin directory. Now it works fine.
HTH somebody else than me!

Yeah, a fix should be simple and effective. I guess that with the changes from 4.3.x to 4.4.x they wanted to clean the house with too much eager... thanx all anyway for the support!
