Hey All:

I'm new to DNN and am in the process of designing a custom module to integrate with an in-house application. My custom module will display some data from the in-house ASP.Net application database. My question is, where would I store the connection string for my custom module to use to connect to the other application database? Would it be appropriate to use DNN web.config? This would not be a "setting" that I would want end-users changing.

This is exactly what we do here and never had any problem with this.  In fact, it's the only solution we've found so far for our production cycle (dev, testing and production server) as the module should point to a different sql server each time.

End-users won't be able to change it either.
