I've been trying to upload the forum module onto my site but I get an error message in the SQL Provider - this is a snippet of the error message:

SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: SELECT permission denied on object 'sysobjects', database 'DotNetNuke2', owner 'dbo'. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(SqlConnection connection, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText, SqlParameter[] commandParameters) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteNonQuery(String connectionString, CommandType commandType, String commandText) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.ExecuteScript(String Script, Boolean UseTransactions) -- DotNetNuke SQL script for DnnBB, generated 7. oktober 2004 at 01:09:21 -- Generated by DotNetNuke DAL Builder 2 from www.dotnetnuke.dk version 2.1.1740.41094

I have been talking to my hosting provider and they have tried amending the user permissions on the database but it hasn't made any difference. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure whether I imagined this or not but I was under the impression that if you have the blog module uploaded you cannot use the forum module - is that correct? Or have I made that up?

Thanks

Both modules can be installed without a problem, not sure where you heard that.

I don't know any reason why your host is having issues w/ SELECT permissions on sysobjects, I find it odd that the forum is the only one having an issue.
