I am getting intermittent "A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object." notifications on my site. These appear random. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, or what I can do to stop fix it?

I'm running version 04.03.05.

Thanks =).

Edit: This error is appearing just above my ContentPane.

Most likely a module on the page where you are seeing the message is causing the problem.  You can check the Log Viewer under Admin for more details about what might be throwing the error and why.
