Sorry I am a newbie with SLL and I am trying to enable SSL on DNN 4.4.0 and I have run into problems about the security settings, the message box states ‘you are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure’. I have a DDN portal on SSL which contains a number of iFrames the child site is also on SSL. The websites are set up as https://portala/default.aspx  and https://portalb/default.aspx When I use HTTP software to analyse what is going on, I can see the http requests doing the following

URL
Redirect URL
1
2
3

4

5

6

The URL’s in red are the ones that I am concerned with as they point to http:// rather then https:// I think this is causing the error however I do not know why they are doing that.

At the 4th record its going to the iFrame module which the child is SSL too, but on the 6th time the page is going to port 433 which is SLL but on http://
I am trying to pass a cookie across the websites which works fine (cookie can be seen across sites) but I have noticed in the web config there attributes like requiresSSL on the forms authentication and on the following which is for file uploads, could this be a problem even though we don’t allow file uploads?
<httpCookieshttpOnlyCookies="true"requireSSL="false"domain="" />

This is really confusing me, if anyone can shed some light and point me in the right direction. Thanks so much for your help.

I just wanted to add that we are using BIGIP and sticky sessions and also the whole site is supposed to be under SSL.

Thanks
