How do I disable the color around a link? or make it black?  It defaults to blue or purple and makes the black and white web page I am building look bad.

That would be in one of the css files.  Take your pick of default.css, portal.css, or your skin's skin.css.  It would be better to make the change in the skin.css .

Hi,

Can you give an example how to do that in skin.css ?
I have on my site the font color in blue so I want to change this color in another.
I tried to do this in the site settings area. and it did not worked

From my own site's skin.css:

a:link, a:visited, a:active {
    color: #5171AF;
    font-family: tahoma;
    font-weight: normal;
    font-size: 11px;
    text-decoration: underline;
}

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your answer.
It is a much nicer view now.
