We are migrating from DNN2 and I need to find some information/articles on extending the User Profile.  I did read the documentation on this topic and even a DNN4 book, both provided some overview but not enough for me figure out how to extend the profile in our situation.

We have many, many attributes that need to be added to the existing profile.  I understand that we can simply use the admin tool to manage the profile and add the columns/attributes we need....but is this really the best way?

Also, one of the attributes is an image data type, which doesn't seem to be supported.  Is there a way to handle this? Or...do most people just end up using associated/satellite tables with this sort of data?  And...what about querying/reporting on the user data from the current profile schema?

Thanks
