Hi I an getting the same problem + sometimes i also get a this problem:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

can anyone help me out with this??

I get the same error and the fix did not work with mine....I even made sure in visual studio that I could connect to the database using the parameters in web config and did with no problem....I think possibly i have missed some permission somewhere but I can't figure out what user or permission might cause this problem...Any ideas??
