Whenever I try to syndicate Google News on my DNN 4.0.2, I get LOADS of HTML source on the page. Anybody got some ideas around this?

Try putting the following RSS URL in your news module for an example:

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&ie=UTF-8&q=dotnetnuke&output=rss

Kind Regards,

Jaun.

The /DesktopModules/Rss folder has an XSL file, open it in notepad and add the following (bolded)

<xsl:value-of select="description" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>

The feed you're using has tons of html code in the description. When we disable output escaping, the < won't get escaped to < and the > won't get escaped to >

While we keep this not happening, the html should keep as html and should be shown normally with html formatting in browsers.
