I'm in the process of upgrading some of my sites to 4.4.1 and I noticed tha the events module is no longer included.  Originally I was happy that work was being done to enhance the module, then I installed the 3.2 release.  After reviewing the events module, I am hoping to move back to the original one that was previously included with DNN.

The new module version 3.2 is the latest production release as far as I know, but it has a number of issues:

1. When you initially add an event module to a page, you cannot access events.  You must add a start date to the module before the menus become active and the calendar is visible.
2. The event module requires two module instances to work in list mode.  This is confusing for most users, especially those that used the previous event module.
3. The event list just doesn't look as good as the listings from the original module.

Although some of the new features are nice, it doesn't help if it doesn't look as good as the original.

Is the original version of the event module still available?  Does it work with version 4.4.1 of DNN?

Do you have any time frames for this release?  This is pretty critical for the project I am working on.

Happy to help test it.  Firstly I need a "demo" version, with a view of a production version in about 2-3 weeks time.
