Today, I upgraded the Links module. I am now having a problem with the width of links on my existing menus. The weird thing is that when I am not logged in as the administrator, the links wrap. When I am logged in the links look fine. Please see the screen shot at http://www.krefski.com/linksmoduleissue.html

I am using DNN ver 4.4.1, Links module ver 03.03.06, Trust Level - Medium Trust, OS - Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Release 2.

Is this a bug or is there something I need to do to fix this? Thanks.

Lara

Lara,
This is an issue with the last release. One of the bugs in Gemini was to remove the "NOWRAP" from the TD tag. This seemingly simple change caused the display issue you are seeing. One thing you can do to fix it is to add the "NOWRAP" back to the TD tag in Links.ascx. A fix has already been made and will be packaged tonight. This newer version, 03.03.07, will be included with the DNN 4.5 release.

Sorry for any trouble it may have caused you.

great your finally got rid of the nowrap and now your going to put it back in.  Why  bother defineing a pane size since the no-wrap will cause blow right past it.

If it is not there, it will cause sites with small links to have the exact opposite effect that having it there does for sites with long links, it will shrink them too much. The solution we implemented in 03.03.07 is to allow the user to set a setting that either turns it on or off. That way ALL users are covered. I hope this meets with your approval. :)

Now there is someone with their thinking cap on, I purchased glinks for another reason and they have no-wrap also.  I had to go in and change the code.  I hate that , kinda defeats the purpose of purchasing modules and DNN - simple upgrade path.
