Hmm... is your .dll deployed to main bin dir?

Also, did you check the namespaces (root + class level defined one) they are set correct in the control?

I don't know what happened there. I went in and removed all instances of the .dll and rebuilt the project and now it's working. Only think I can think of is that there was an old version of the .dll in the bin directory (I've been goofing with different theories the last day or so) and it wasn't getting overwritten/recompiled.

That does happen sometimes (rarely, but it does).

Anyway... glad you made it working.

Vladan, is the use of the deployment project necessary with your BlankModule solution? I completed my module and it works great on my dev install (normal DNN 4 install instead of the Starter Kit) so I used 4.4.1's  "Create Module Package" to create the PA .zip and installed it on another "Test" install. It installed with no problems but when I go to use the module I'm getting a "BC30451: LocalResourceFile is not declared" error.

EDIT: As far as I can tell it's because I've imported the DotNetNuke.Services.Localization file on the .aspx page. The module I'm working on is heavily based on the File Manager but we're using it to allow access beyond the Portal directories for our intranet. If I create the module the Starter Kit method it works fine but if I try a WAP solution I get the error above. Any ideas would be appreciated or if someone wants to look at the project to see if they can figure it out they're welcome to it.

Hi Mikeh,

No the deployment script is not necessary.

As for the localization problems, please check that you are referencing the correct assemblies, that your module inherits PortalModuleBase and that your localization files on the destination actually exist.
