If anyone out there has used the Wiki Module in the past on a DNN 2.* site, contact me. I need to get some input on how it used to work as I'm running into a few issues, such as, you can't actually do anything with the module other than load a page. Email me at chris.hammond @ dotnetnuke.com

Well, I just made it a step further after making this post.

The way the old module was setup didn't allow for HOST to be able to edit pages, I've logged in as a portal admin and now have a few more options. Time to work with it a bit and see what all I can get it to do. I may be able to get something up for you guys to see on a website later today.

Good news. I've been able to successfully save an update to a page, keeping track of minor changes as well in the version list.

I'll try to get the project upgraded to 3.2.2 and have it up and running on a site this evening. The next big task will be to try to seperate the module from it's requirements of external components and web.config changes. Currently you have to make quite a few changes to get this thing working, it's no where near a simple PA upload.

A bit more progress. I stripped out the Log4net requirements from the module this evening.

I have it up on an external site but it's not functioning properly. I'll have to track down what the exact issue is later this week. More to follow.

Chris

Looking forward to it. When it comes to testing, would it be possible for you to host a DNN 2.x site with the old module as well as a DNN 3.x site with the new? That would allow for comparison of features and help finding bugs. I have a copy of the old 2.x module but I can only run it on my private machine.
