Hi,

I have just purchased this module and installed it on my DNN 4.4.1 installation.

I am getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when I try to Opt-In to a mailing list. There is very poor support for this module and there is no forum or support documentation.

I am quite ticked off and I would like to get my money back simply because of the lack of support.

Does anyone have any experience with DataSprings' Opt-In Email module? They seem to have better support and some nice demos of how it works. Is this module better?

Thanks,

Chris

I don't know anything about their Opt-In module, but I can't say enough good things about DataSpring's support. I just bought a few of their modules yesterday, and 1 - I thought the modules were great, and 2-I did have a few small problems with them, but have gotten really excellent support, including a phone call. I won't hesitate to buy more modules from them.

Chris -

I can recommend the Opt-In module. I've used it on a couple of sites and it works well.

One problem you will have if you want to include images in the newsletter..

Don't use the FTBhtml editor provider because it will strip the domain out of the image src so no images show. A way round this is the use the FCKEditor which you can download from the DNN downloads page.

Thanks for the helpful input guys.

I went ahead and purchased opt-in and so far it seems to work great.

When I download FCK editor, do I have the use it through out my DNN installation or can I use it for just Opt-In?

to install fck (the editor that is used here and will be default html editor in DNN 4.5.0+), you need to download the installation package and follow the installation instructions inside. Please note, that the installation will affect all rich text appearences.
