Hi

I've just started trying to use UDT 3.3.6, and come across a couple of problems.

  1. When I have a column with of type URL, if a trailing '/' is left on the value, it won't appear on the list. Any chance of checking for this? http://www.dotnetnuke.com will appear, but http://www.dotnetnuke.com/ will not.
  2. I don't seem to be able to set any sort values on the grid table setting. I set them, click update, but when I check them they have been set back to 'Not specified'.

Cheers
Roger

Roger,

  1. if in manageURL it is not specified to use abbreviated URLs, UDT does not modify the URL value. Any other modification might be done by urlControl that is used to enter the link, before the value is stored or by the .Net framework.
  2. the sorting issue has been reported and will be corrected in UDT 3.4.0

Sebastian,

Thanks for the feedback. Just a thought on the URL, is it worth allowing the capability to set a text value for the URL, instead of showing the URL itself? Then it is clickable, but can have a meaningful display text.

Cheers
Roger

And just a thought, but the dates aren't localised. Update date, shows as server time, not local time. Is this resolvable?

Add the text for display into "extended settings" field.
