Mitchel,

typically it's up to the project leader to decide how and who he recruits for the team e.g some choose to approach people who have been active in their project areas and some ask for applications via their blog - obviously all the project leads look for users with good knowledge and coding skills (not an issue in your case judging by your forum posts/website blogs). I'll pass your details onto the new project lead, and once they've tied up the legal end (signing NDA's/code agreements) I'm sure they'll contact you. I'll be encouraging them to ensure that the blog team contains a number of strong individuals as the long delays with the blog project were partly caused by the blog project being solely developed and maintained by 1 individual, who became unavailable for personal reasons (various core members tried to pick up the project, but it's been slow in developing as we all have other tasks that are our priority)

Thanks,

Cathal

Cathal,

Thank you very much!  The blog module is one that I use a lot with my website and I have many ideas for things that would make it that much better.  And since I use the module so much I have vested interest in ensuring that the standard module continues to add features and would love to help with the process.

Thanks for the blog module update.  You will not catch me saying we've heard that before (but we have)...

Just my opinion, but the most important modules with DNN are:

  1. News/RSS
  2. Blog
  3. Wiki
  4. Forums

Net 2.0 is all about social networking.  ANYTHING related to that should be a priority with DNN management, the Core team and anyone else who really believes in this CMS.

I've taken the active step to move my "blog" off of DNN and over to Wordpress for the social networking benefits.  However, I still heavily use the DNN Blog Module for producing and syndicating current event stories.

As most people here, I want the best for DNN, but to have all of these modules go without updates/enhancements is disappointing and decreases the likelyhood of repeat visitor traffic to our sites.

Again, just my opinion.  Yours may vary.

Hi,
I have a few issues with this module also that I cannot get any response or fix for. It is the only part of my site that I cannot get completely fixed...
It would be great if/when we could be notified of the new team.
DNN is an awesome product, if this module were 100% I'd be really, really happy.
Thanks
