was working around.. configuring.. adding pages, updateing pages.. and then finally I added a testuser account...

well wanted to see what things looked like with non-super user view.. so logged out of site.. clicked on the Login link to only be prompted with the following firefox message.:

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
    *   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
          cookies.

I changed nothing in the browser or even site configuration .. was just adding info and pages over all.

IE 7 shows that it's trying to redirect the "logged in" user to the the page I had selected. .. so it may be tied to that setting in the site settings .. :/
Any help getting this back up will be greatly appreciated... suppose to be demoing it for a manager tomorrow :P

Ok...

so I'm brain dead at 5 in the evening :P..

When I set the "Login Page" settings in the account settings, I thought it was a redirect to happen AFTER the user had logged in.  not the actual page itself..

hence I got stuck in the redirection loop because it was trying to go to a page that was set to viewable only by "registered users" ..

I reset the column in the DB Portals table.. restarted IIS.. as it was cached or something.. and all is fine now.
