I have never created a page template before. How is this done? I can't find anything anywhere on how to do this. I must be going blind....

I was unable to find a user interface to create page templates with. As a workaround I generated a template for the portal (Host > Portals > Export Template), then found my page in the xml file, cut & paste the xml into my page template file.

Where do you store the file?

The portal template is located in <website>\Portals\_default\<name>.template

The page templates can be added to <website>\Portals\_default\Templates\<yourtemplatename>.page.template
