Hi,

I am using v. 4.4.1 with SQL Server 2005

I edited my web.config file to:

    <!-- Forms or Windows authentication sets the cookie for 24 hrs (60 min X 24 hour  = 1440)-->
    <authentication mode="Forms">
      <forms name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="1440" cookieless="UseCookies" />
    </authentication>

And

<

add key="PersistentCookieTimeout" value="43200" />

But when I login using 'Remember my Login', it is not able to remember the login id and password in next login.

Could anyone please telll me what else should I do fthe login so that it actually does remember the password?

Thanks in advance.

Pankaj

it's the forms authentication timeout that you need to set (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/BlogsDotNetNuke/tabid/825/EntryID/233/Default.aspx for the reasons why). The persistentcookietimeout value invokes some code I've used in custom asp.net projects to workaround this limitation, but it's not working as expected in DNN - i'm trying to determine the fix for this and will add it to a future version.
