Help...

I've tried everything... can't get my HOME page to say anything else but "User Log In" in the title bar.  Ugh!  This seems so simple, and I can't figure it out.  I've changed settings on that page, but it doesn't "take" in any browser.  What am I missing?

This is a default installation of DNN 4.4.1

Thanks,

Vollerworld

The solution is provided in post : http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/111/threadid/93744/scope/posts/Default.aspx
It is introduced (bug?) in DNN 4.4
It can easily be solved by commenting out some code as described in the above mentioned post. There is no need to re-compile, this will be done automatically.
A quick fix worth to try...

Something got changed  on the account login module after the last release of DNN.  The account login module, on whatever page it is placed, it overriding the meta data for that particular page.  There may be a fix somewhere else, but for now you cannot use that module without this highly undesirable effect.

Follow these steps to change the Heading/Title of the Signin/Login Control:
  1. Login to the system as admin.
  2. Select the Languages from the admin menu.
  3. Click on the Language Editor Action Button.
  4. Expand the Local Resources node.
  5. Expand the admin node under Local Resources node.
  6. Expand the Security node.
  7. Expand the App_LocalResources node.
  8. Choose the Signin.ascx file.
  9. Change the value of the ControlTitle_login.Text resource. (you can find this resource key using browser find option quickly)
  10. Finally press the Update button to save the changes.
After performing the logout action you can check the Heading/Title of the Login/Signin control.
