My website is almost complete now, and I love DNN!  However I just have a couple of questions in the back of my mind that I'd like to find a answer to if possible.

I have a 'link' module that appears on almost every page of my site I have duplicated this from 1 original, I'm wondering if duplicating the module would noticeable slow DNN down, or if its designed with this in mind?

Also is there away of seeing how much resource my DNN site is using, or how many processes of tasks its running?  I presume if needed I good cut these back?

Any answers welcome

Dan

As your site grows it will require more database space which in turn can effect the perfomance of the site.  However each individual module instance itsn't that large of an item typically.  If you have content though that is appearing on all pages it might be better to set the "Show on all pages" property of that module as it will give you a centralized copy and use less database resources as well as it would be only one item in cache.

As for the resources used by DNN.  You can use SQL Management Studio Express (or Enterprise Manager) to monitor SQL Server space....and simple filesystem viewing to see how much disk is being used.  TO see server utilization you will need to have access to the server to check on usage of the ASP.NET worker process and system ram.
