I've recently updated my web site to DNN 4.4.1. After that I've noticed that one of the child portals is showng text being entered in RichText Editor as very small. Like that:

I've noticed that font size value is always set to 1 by default.

I can set larger value, and that indeed makes the text in the input windows larger:

Unfortunately, that also adds udesireble HTML tags around the text (see below), and I don't like that 'couse I've already defined the necessary text properties in the portal's css style sheet.

The question is how do I make the text being shown in the RichText Editor appear as it is defined in the css sheet's .Normal style?

There are probably a couple of ways to do this but the one that I have used with success is to remove all size entries in the Font tag.  then add a span around the text within the span tag add a reference to the class, in this case normal.  I will attempt to put the code in below but sometimes the text editor won't allow the code to show up so you may not see it.

<span class="Normal">Text</span>  This will fix the information for all of the text between the tags.

That's not what I meant. I know how to make text .Normal. In fact, I always use Basic text box. It's other portal users that I'm concerned about. I'm afraid that they'll open Rich Text Editor (that is used by default by the way) and will think that there's something wrong with the portal...

In spite of all my efforts I never fioud out what was cousing the problem, so I installed FCK Editor. The text is displayed properly in the editing window of the editor now, and I like FCK Editor much more than the deafault FTB.

I beleive team members should really consider making alternative install of DNN with the FCK Editor as the default editor.

Your wish has just come true! FCK Editor is now the default DNN editor for DNN 4.5+
