Need seemless integration between DotNetNuke and Reporting Services 2005?  We have a custom DotNetNuke module with custom security extension to allow accounts in DotNetNuke to access the  reports in the Microsoft RS.  Once the security extionsion is configured, you can grant DotNetNuke accounts with permission to display reports within the DotNetNuke portal.  Our demo site shows 6 sets of sample reports with export options to Excel, PDF, etc.

Three questions:

1. Does the security extension only work with RS 2005, or is there a way it can work with RS 2000?

2. Is the Reports Server still secured fully, i.e. if someone were to browse to the Report Manager directly, are they still required to authenticate?

3. Can the module run local RDL reports, i.e. with the Report Viewer control?

Thanks!

Very nice. I'm working on somthing very similar for our company, however, it's a module that mimics the SRS reporting services website. Basically it gives folder listings and allows you to customize security and whatnot through DNN. This let's us display our reporting server reports to our users without them needing a domain account.
