One of my portal admins just deleted some users from the portal and now the threads that these user's participated in, are not rendering any content and tossing up a general exception.

Is there a known way to fix this?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've been worried about this, as it was something we have all overlooked on the team.  Right now there is no quick fix aside from creating a 'dummy' user and using SQL to update all the posts of UserID to this dummy user.  I need to think over what is the best way to handle this.  There is the option of deleting all posts by userid 3 as well.  This is probably a more effective way to handle it but could also cause other issues as I haven't thought out the implication of doing this.
