Before I pose my install issue:
1) I have been successfully installing all the previous DNN versions in the past 2 years.
2) I'm cognizent of the DNN's web.config changes as for objectQualifier and SiteSqlServer values, the requirements for database, user with the appropriate roles as well as identify impersonation and the permissions etc etc.

I'm attempting to install (fresh) DNN 4.4.1 on my existing db. The web.config in my DNN root folder has been updated appropriately and I use objectQualifier "dnn_" to identify my DNN objects.

I keep getting the error in my event viewer about "Could not find stored procedure dnn_GetPortals", time and again. I have tried recreating the database but in vain. I have come across numerous posts telling people about deleting the dnn.config from the install folder...but in dnn 4.4.1, I do not even have the dnn.config to begin with. Per suggestion from one post, I also tried adding the key "UseDnnConfig" and set it's value to "true" but that did not help either.

What am I missing? Please Help!!

after upgrade, did you check the upgrade log files?

did you check your database, if dnn_getPortals is included?

make sure, your database is not case sensitive!

Those are only the most common suggestions without further details on the issue and the installation.

I'm doing a fresh install (not upgrade) of 4.4.1 on a freshly created SQL Server 2005 database.....I'm not using any existing version of DNN on this server. Thus, all the DNN objects tables as well as stored procs are not yet created in the db.

It sounds like some config change is needed for DNN to instruct to go create the objects first. I've almost spent the entire day looking around for any solution...:(
Your help is appreciated.

My database is actually empty. Also, it is not case sensitive.

maybeyou should just wait a couple of days, until DNN 4.5.0 is released, that comes with a handy install wizard.
