A bit of brackground: I am developing a website that is allowing people to reserve time on an asset based on a monthly fee that they pay. Basically a timeshare of an asset. And depending on the monthly fee they can have more or less time with the asset.

I need to be able to implement the idea of Membership and members separately.

A membership is the object that decides how much time and other business rules can be used for an asset.

A Member is allocated to a membership and can make the reservations on the asset.

There can be more than one member for each membership. There is a primary member and secondary members. The only person responsible for paying for the membership is the primary member.

Do I need to make changes to the core of DNN to implement this ?
